And from many lands,

all the lands you can

imagine,

from all these lands

they came,

they just never stopped,

not just the Irish,

not just the Chinese,

not just the Germans

who brought us our 

obsession

with beer,

all lands,

all lands

somehow brought their peoples

to us,

and we called ourselves

a melting pot,

they all traveled,

across oceans,

across the continent,

finding the places

they might fit,

even when it seemed

they didn't.

They just kept coming.
